Floor Vos
Floor, born on January 21, 1989 in Valthe, got her first pony when she was four years old, the mischievous shetlander Betsy. After many lessons from her mother Loes Vos, she became a member of Pony Club Exorva in Exloo. From the age of six she started riding competitions, in both dressage and jumping. She has jumped up to and including the class M. In the end, her preference was for the dressage sport.
Floor successfully trained several horses and ponies up to and including the subtop. She is active at international Grand Prix level and has won many regional and national titles. She has now won 30 regional championships. In addition, she competes young horses in the basic sport and during the young horse competitions.
At the age of twelve, in addition to pony riding, she switched to her first horse, the KWPN gelding Naciënte (Hinault x Nooitgedacht). Naciente was very sensitive, but with a lot of patience and perseverance she achieved many successes with this horse. She has reached the ZZ-Licht class with Naciente, and she has also successfully started him a number of times with the Juniors. Naciente was sold by the Vos family to an amazon in Italy.
After Naciente, Floor had several young dressage horses at her disposal that participated very well in national competitions and championships.
One of these horses was the four-year-old KWPN gelding Tornaxs (Cabochon x Le Val Blanc). Floor started with this horse in the L class. She successfully trained this horse up to and including the Small Tour/Intermediare 1, and she also competed Tornaxs with the Young Riders. January 2009 they were included in the B frame for Young Riders, 4 months later they were included in the A frame for Young Riders. Floor achieved both national and international successes with Tornaxs. They were also very successful at championships.
Floor gained experience with Johan Hinnemann and Coby van Baalen. Both are Olympic Grand Prix riders and trainers at international level.
In the year 2008, Floor obtained her International Instructors Passport during the Masterclass course at NHB Deurne. She then followed the Specialist Instructor Masterclass course and passed this in the year 2009. With these courses, in addition to horseback riding, she also started to focus on teaching riders and amazons at all levels, from young to old. She has also been a trainer for years at the Youth Stimulation Plan (JSP) of Drenthe.
Since January 2010, Floor has been running her own Dressage Stable. Here she is involved in training and showing horses up to the highest level, teaching, buying and selling, guiding, organizing training days and giving dressage clinics, test-oriented training sessions and Anky Freerider training sessions. At the moment she has several talented young horses and is active at international Grand Prix level.
